“探索史前生物的奥秘，揭开巨人世界的神秘面纱。”

清晨，我们来到了拉布雷亚沥青坑和博物馆。并在博物馆门前合了影，开始了远古时代的探索之旅。

Early in the morning, we arrived at the pit and museum in La Brea. And in front of the museum took a picture, began the ancient exploration journey.

拉布雷亚沥青坑

拉布雷亚沥青坑（La Brea Tar Pits，或 Rancho La Brea Tar Pits）是位于美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶汉考克公园附近的一组天然沥青坑。因为其上常常覆盖有树叶、灰尘或水等遮蔽物，动物等很容易失足陷入其中，因而数世纪以来积累了大量的动物骨骸、化石。沥青坑边上有专门用来研究沥青坑和展览坑中发现的动物标本的乔治·C·佩奇博物馆（George C. Page Museum）。

La Brea Tar Pits, or Rancho La Brea Tar Pits, is a group of natural asphalt pits located near Hancock Park in Los Angeles, California. Because it is often covered with leaves, dust or water and other shelters, animals and other easily fall into it, so a large number of animal bones and fossils have accumulated over the centuries. On the edge of the asphalt pit there is the George C. Page Museum, which is dedicated to the study of asphalt pits and animal specimens found in the exhibition pits.

 

天然沥青是石油从地壳裂缝渗出，表经长期暴露和蒸发后的残留物。拉布雷亚地区正是这样一个有裂缝的地方。如今漫步其中，依然可以看到很多地方不断有黑色沥青泡冒出来。这一奇特地貌给生物化石的保存创造了绝好的条件，也造就了这家独一无二的化石博物馆。

Natural bitumen is the residue of oil that oozes from cracks in the earth's crust and is exposed to long-term exposure and evaporation. The La Brea area is such a cracked place. Now walking through it, you can still see a lot of places with black asphalt bubbles coming out. This peculiar landscape creates excellent conditions for the preservation of biological fossils and also creates this unique fossil museum.

之后，走入馆中，我们看到一具具完整又生动的动物化石，这些都是史前已经灭绝的动物，却又如此真实的展现在我们眼前。

比弗利山庄

下午，我们坐在巴士车上，横穿了比弗利山庄最豪华的街道，看到了玲琅满目的奢侈品店，同时远远的看了那个比弗利山庄的牌子。由于比弗利山庄多以奢侈品为主，街道很长，而且每家奢侈品店不能随意进入，所以我们并没有下车去逛街，只是在车上游览。

参观完比弗利山庄之后，我们的巴士开往了著名的Farmers Market农贸市场，我们走在著名的sunset大街，两边的店铺热闹非凡。

商业街The Grove

市场后面是一个著名的商业街——The Grove，街上铺满了古老的青石板路，颇有年头的电影院，灵动的音乐喷泉，外观精美的有轨电车，这些在午后展现一幅慵懒而不失优雅的风景画。

今天上午我们去了拉布雷亚沥青坑，这是位于美国加利福尼亚州洛杉矶汉考克公园附近的一组天然沥青坑，虽说是很有趣，但气味确实不好闻。下午我们去了比弗利山庄，又去了农贸市场。总的来说，今天还是很美好的！

昨天，我们去了一个遍地是沥青坑的博物馆。老师告诉我们那些坑很危险，一旦陷进去就很难出来，我们在博物馆内也小小地体会到了。这就是里面有非常多的化石的原因。很多大型动物在不知情的时候踏入这片看似普通的泥巴坑，结果没想到将被困在那里痛苦的死去。下午，我们去了比弗利山庄。老师带我们去那里购物，那里有非常非常多的商品，当然也比较昂贵。也许这就是有钱人的生活吧。今天实在是收获满满的一天呢。
