On July 28th, the long-awaited American study tour finally began. We arrived at the airport early withour parents. Don't worry, we have grown up!

Over a dozen hours of cross-ocean flight, the children arranged their journey properlybylistening to music, reading books, eating snacks, dealing withjet lagand doing homework. Let us continue to be a beautiful boy/girl quietly.

Finally, we arrived at the summer camp for native American students. Let's see what the summer camp is like abroad. Let’s learn good habits and tryto become polite“door holders".

抵达营地的第一天就是一个挑战：独自完成铺床的任务！离开了爸爸妈妈，我们一样棒棒哒！

There was a challenge the first day we arrived at the camp-to make the bedsourselves! Wecould be still good even without mom and dad.

爱自然 去探究跟蜥蜴零距离接触，学习植食性动物、肉食性动物、杂食性动物的分类，种子植物、苔藓植物、蕨类植物和裸子植物有什么不一样，今天的收获可真多呀。

We contacted closely with lizards and learned the classification of animals and the difference of plants. It was really a fruitful day.

找到了世界上最高的树种——红杉树，最高的超过300英尺，营地里这棵红杉树也有大约150英尺（50米）高呢。大自然的世界里，还有很多秘密等着我们去探索。

In the camp, we found a 150 feet high sequoia, which belongs to the world's tallest tree species. In the world of nature, there are many secrets waiting for us to explore.

最重要的是，我们在这里一切的课程都是亲近大自然，通过探究式学习得来的。我们在这里徒步，寻找红杉林区的各种植物、了解森林的生态系统的运转、了解动物金字塔的秘密。

Most importantly, all of our courses here wereclose to nature, through inquiry learning. We hikedhere, looking for all kinds of plants in the Sequoia forest area, understanding the operation of the forest ecosystemand the secrets of the animal pyramid.

团队精神很重要团队意识的培养被放在第一位！如何迅速的完成老师指定的任务，一次、二次、三次，跟同伴讨论得出最后的答案：一个人通关不算什么，重要的是让你的团队一起过关！

The cultivation of team consciousness wasput in the first place! How to accomplish the task assigned by the teacher quickly, and discuss with your peers to get the final answer.It ismore important to let your team pass customs togetherthan passing by your own.

当然不只是学习知识，高空攀岩、丛林飞跃、高空秋千，每个活动对美娃都是一次挑战，攀上高高的站台，我就是最棒的！

森林中的惊喜最大的惊喜来自Banana slug(香蕉鼻涕虫）和Salamander（蝾螈、俗称娃娃鱼）。老师这个超级哈利波特迷告诉我们，只要敢把这个流着“鼻涕”的东东放到鼻子上，就可以成为鼻涕虫俱乐部的一员！

The biggest surprises came from Banana slug and Salamander. The teacher, a super Harry Potter fan, toldus that the person whodaredto put this thing with “runny nose”onhis/hernose couldbecome a member of the slug club!What！

这么恶心的东西？你确定要放？我摸一摸先。好吧，为了和哈利波特他们成为一样优秀的人，豁出去了！

What! What a disgusting thing! Are you sure you want to put it on? I'll touch it first. Well, in order to be as good as Harry Potter, let's do it!

相信自己 学会独立我们来营地就是锻炼自己的，所以老师要求所有衣物全部自己洗，每天早上床铺自己整理！

We came to the camp to trainourselves, so the teacher askedus to wash our own clothes and make beds every morning by ourselves.

离开营地、离开酒店的每一天，我们都是自己整理好了床铺，像小小鸟儿，渐渐学着自己独立的生活和飞翔。
