Summer School in Rectory
Hi! My name is Kevin, I am 12yrs old. Now at grade7. I like reading, different kinds of ball sports, and I also play clarinet and drum. I am joyful playing with my friends whatever soccer or magic cards. Full of fun around me always make me happy. There was me at summer Rectory, a happy, joyful me. It was full of activities in Rectory summer, making us all happy.
Welcome to BBC news, summer Rectory channel, especially about Kevin. This channel will be presented by using the first person.
During summer Rectory, we’ve experienced happiness, joy, sadness, anger, as well as a lot of other emotions. We are happy when we win; we are sad when we lose; we are joyful when we can play games; we are angry when others lie. No matter how we felt, I was always happy during the time in summer Rectory.
There were also a lot of fun things that happened during summer Rectory. For example, we went to watch the minor baseball league, which was the match between Connecticut Tigers and Lake Monsters. Luckily, I even captured a baseball flying out of the field. I am so excited for my luck! We also had a lot of fun during the weekend there in Rectory. We went to a lot of water parks there, in which we avoided the heat, and soaked in the icy water under the temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I also learned a card game called Magic the Gathering, which made me feel joyful. The teachers there were really good at teaching, and the students there were really friendly to me.
I really like the school there, especially the inspiring class, funny and creative math. The teachers always encourage us when we ask many different tough questions. My unique and tasty bubble tea made a lot of profit for us. There were a lot of good students there, no bullying happened, and everybody treated each other politely and friendly.
So I decided to go there to study.
Then, we started the application for Rectory School. Mr. Seaward, the admission director of school asked me lots of strange questions during the interview, but I felt his questions were so funny. I even hoped I could have more interviews with him, because his questions really made me joyful and were full of sparkles. I think Mr. Seaward was satisfied with me as a great candidate of Rectory, and not to mention other teachers wanted me to come to study in Rectory during Summer camp. With my own funny essay and the help of UP education, and my parents' support, I am in! It is amazing!
That’s such a legend for me to study abroad, and I hope I can keep on trying my best to be the best of myself!
