自8月5日GYLA开营一周以来，协会成员在ITCILO (International Training Center of the International Labor Organization) 校园中参与了丰富的课程和课外活动，从各个方面加深了对国际组织和SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) 的理解。
8月5日，祖良荣博士向大家介绍了GYLA的办学理念，联合国青年领袖精英班以Society，Dignity，Prosperity，Planet为基础，以“To inspire and empower youth”为使命，以提升青年人IQ (Intelligence Quality)，EQ (Emotion Quality)和CQ (Cross-Culture Quality)，提升其内在领导力和创造力(self-full achievement) 为目标。
当天下午，ITCILO的Linda Deelen女士向我们详细的介绍了联合国的成立使命、原则、项目和2030 SDG 议程，强调了联合国在当今这个形势多变的世界中所扮演角色的重要性。Linda Deelen女士采用time line的形式，让大家自己搜索学习联合国成立以来各个时间段的标志性事件，并对未来的联合国的发展做出自己的展望。
在此环节中，来自协会的姜聪聪、吴韬、程瑞环、陈章、肖润等成员相继做了精彩发言，大家充分得感受到了联合国和我们的生活息息相关，体会到联合国对世界的发展做出的贡献，并且对其未来充满了期待。
在课程期间(8.6-8.9)，GYLA的学习上午采用主题演讲(Keynote Speech)和分论坛讨论(panel discussion)的模式，由联合国的官员围绕着SDGs、如何开发青年才智和提升青年领导力水平展开。
下午则是多样化的分组课程(Break-out session)，具体为法律，CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility)，性别平等等方面的专业知识。在这个过程中，同学们被分成不同的小组，通过一些实际案例的学习，与官员和来自不同高校的同学一起交流，将理论和实践相结合。互动过程中，我们都在一步步地靠近联合国及其可持续发展目标，也逐渐地提高了我们的IQ(Intelligence Quality)，EQ(Emotion Quality)和CQ(Cross-Culture Quality)。
课后我们与联合国工业发展组织(UNIDO)人力资源部人才处主任王圳先生、人力资源顾问Lucrezia pala女士进行了交谈，他们向我们介绍了网上申请相关实习和志愿者岗位的步骤和注意事项，鼓励大家关注网上信息并积极申请，最后考虑到新能源专业的特点及优势，建议我们申请2020年于维也纳举办的的国际能源论坛的志愿者。
在和联合国粮食及农业组织人力资源项目官员Ekaternia Lazarova女士的交谈中，她热情分享了自己在联合国的经历和经验，鼓励年轻人积极参与全球治理工作，成为消除饥饿的力量。
培训专家Tareq Rasheed亲切又随和，他则从自身的经历谈起，帮助我们找到自我、认识自我并做好职业规划，从而发挥自己的天赋。
文化交流
在GYLA，除了学习联合国以及其他国际组织的知识和一些前沿的学科知识以外，我们也有一些丰富的活动，如Cocktail reception，Flash mob，City tour。校内的丰富多彩的活动以及校外的赴欧洲各历史文化名城，旨在带领我们感受意大利的食物和酒文化，感受地道的风土人情和灿烂的欧洲文明，给我们提供了一个多元文化交流的机会和环境，致力于培养我们的CQ(Cross-culture Quality)，从而进一步成为一个跨文化的国际人才。
在紧张的课程生活之余，中心在Valentino Bar为我们安排了cocktail reception，部分联合国官员和中心的员工出席了此次酒会。大家可以品尝意大利的特色美食美酒，了解意大利的文化；同时可以和官员亲切交谈，和来自不同高校的同学交流学习心得。
Flash mob快闪活动旨在传播中国传统文化，展示中国大学生的风采。在老师的带领和同学们齐心协力的努力之下，活动圆满完成并获得中外友人的一致好评。快闪由具有中国特色的古筝和京剧开始，配合歌曲和舞蹈表演，展示了我们齐聚一堂，为实现联合国2030可持续发展目标而共同努力的决心。华科学子们也全力配合了这次的表演。肖润，姜聪聪作为歌手，陈章，程瑞环，张富精作为舞蹈者，其余同学作为表演者参与了这次活动。
圣卡洛广场被誉为“都灵的会客厅”，由建筑师卡洛（Carlo）于17世纪上半叶设计。广场周围遍布巴洛克式建筑，是都灵最美丽的广场之一。此次文化之旅使大家开阔了视野、更新了观念、陶冶了性情。

During the academy, I gained so much from the classes and after classes. Firstly, the classes are designed with various perspectives,knowledge of UN and SDGs, youth leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and so on. What impressed me most is the course of entrepreneurial spirit by Mr.Zu.Only when people start to realize the importance of social responsibility can there be sustainable development. I believe it is the quality and ability a future world leader should have. Besides, we also attended several culture exchange activities, cocktail reception,flsh mob and city tour. I believe the experience and skills I've gained from the academy will be of some help to promoting my future development.

In the first week, I have learned a lot about the United Nations and sustainable development goals. There were rich keynote speeches given by professional officials from different organizations every morning. What impressed me most was that international organizations are not a reachless concept, but closely related to us. Moreover, we found that UNIDO would launch energy-related internship programs that fit in well with the major of ICARE, and therefore it seems to show some directions for students with such ambitions. Secondly, panel discussion every afternoon gave us a chance to speak up in front of UN officials, which was also precious. Finally, the cultural journey interspersed with the course allowed us to enjoy the passion of cultural collision and experience the charm of different cultures.

Through the keynote speech in the morning and the sessions in the afternoon, we learned a lot about the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, and met a lot of outstanding students in different universities, making a foundation for future progress.
