这周正式迎来了新学期开学，回顾暑假，孩子们在各大优秀夏校经历了独一无二的夏天。当然，我们也收到了他们陆续提交的参赛作品，接下来会和大家一起分享孩子们记录的夏校生活！

安妮怀特学校 ▪ 夏校分享

开学首周的最后一个上学日，我们一起来看看Grace同学在安妮怀特度过的美好夏日：令人兴趣盎然的课程、和蔼可亲的老师、欢乐轻松的活动、美味到难忘的食物……

As soon as I saw the class schedule of the Summer Learning Camp at Annie Wright School, I felt like it was designed for me because all of the courses were within my interest, all of my favorite courses were incorporated in the week, including debate, robotics, and fencing. I held that sheet of schedule, my eagerness was telling me to take the courses and love that school.

Annie Wright had the best robotics class I’ve ever had. I’m very passion about the STEM courses but since I’ve never had any robotics training before, I never dare to take any robotics class. However, Annie Wright’s robotics class is designed for beginners. The technical stuff is easy to understand but the result we achieved is pretty amazing, so in this way I can build confidence for my robotics learning. We eventually made the robot to move along a route that we coded for, also it was coded to do certain reaction in terms of the touch sensor. I was so proud of our accomplishments.

Debate, as a course I love, was also so remarkable and exciting. I’ve taken debate classes in two different camps, but it turns out Annie Wright had better ones because I’ve been learning debate for half a year and I know that what we’ve learnt within a week is almost everything, and we took the essence of debate during so short amount of time. We learnt the structure of debate and how to do argumentation and refutation. I learnt a lot because this was slightly different from the format that I use.
The teachers there were super nice. Mr. Zhao was so impressive because he treated us so kindly. He let us attend the boarders’evening activities, albeit we were day students. He took us to every class we had, arrange everything for us and had activity with us. I like to talk to him about myself and how I love this school, and he was so nice that he gave me a chance to have a mock interview, which let me knew more about Annie Wright. I think Annie Wright really suits me due to its curriculum.

Moreover, the evening activities were relaxing and impressive. We watched a fantastic movie, The Lion King. We went to the Tacoma Bridge to see the sunset above the lake, which was mesmerizing. We went to a jazz concert and that enhanced my love for music. I was amazed by the singer’s skill. The activities brought us jollity and laughter.
What I felt so good about is Annie Wright’s food. We had Chinese noodle and rice, delicious Italian pizza, fried broccolis, vegetables and fruits for lunch and dinner. The roast turkey with barbecue ketchup and pepper was magnificent that I’ll never forget its tender taste and savory smell. Also, as a snack-lover, I loved all of the snacks that I had including my favorite ones, fruit punch and chocolate-cream filling cookies.

All in all, I had a wonderful and meaningful week at Annie Wright. It was such a great honor to study there. I loved that school, it has gave me a fulfilling summer life. My dream is that someday I can be in this school, to be a honorable student there.
